- Facial Similarity Analysis Services
Choice DNA may offer or facilitate facial similarity analysis services provided through FaceIT DNA Technology, a separate technology provider.
Facial similarity analysis compares visible facial characteristics using computer vision and machine-learning technology.
Facial similarity analysis does not extract DNA, analyze genetic material, establish paternity, or confirm biological relationships. It is an informational service and does not replace laboratory DNA testing.
When customers request facial similarity services, submitted photographs and related information may be transferred to FaceIT DNA Technology to fulfill the requested service.
FaceIT DNA Technology uses Google Cloud Vision AI for face detection, followed by its internally developed machine-learning software for facial similarity calculations and manual review of results.
Customers should review the applicable FaceIT DNA Technology Privacy Policy and consent disclosures for additional information regarding photograph processing, third-party technology, retention, and deletion.
- Sharing Information With Third Parties
Choice DNA may share personal information with authorized third parties when reasonably necessary to provide requested services, manage business operations, or comply with applicable law.

Photograph Retention
Choice DNA Laboratory LLC may retain customer photographs and related image files for up to one year from the date they are submitted. The one-year period represents a maximum retention period and is not a guarantee that photographs will remain available for the entire period.
Choice DNA reserves the right to delete customer photographs, cropped facial images, and related image files at any time before the end of the one-year period when they are no longer reasonably necessary for service delivery, report generation, customer support, refunds, disputes, fraud prevention, quality assurance, or other legitimate business purposes.
Customers may also request earlier deletion of eligible photographs and associated facial analysis information, subject to applicable legal, contractual, laboratory, and recordkeeping requirements.
Final reports, transaction records, laboratory records, and other business records may be retained separately where reasonably necessary for customer service, legal, accounting, dispute, fraud-prevention, regulatory, or recordkeeping purposes.
