Choice DNA Laboratory LLC (“Choice DNA,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of our clients and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information submitted through our website and services. By using our website or services, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
  1. Information We Collect
While using our services, we may ask you to provide personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. This information may include but is not limited to your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, photographs submitted for analysis, biological samples submitted for DNA testing, payment information, order information, and test results. We may also collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, and website usage data.
  1. Biological Samples and DNA Testing
Choice DNA Laboratory LLC offers DNA testing services that may require biological samples including cheek swabs, blood samples, or other approved specimens. These samples are used solely for the purpose of performing the requested DNA testing services and may be processed by accredited third‑party laboratories.
  1. Photographs and Facial Similarity Analysis
Certain services offered through Choice DNA Laboratory LLC may involve the submission of photographs. Photographs may be processed using automated biometric analysis software to perform Facial Similarity Analysis. Facial Similarity Analysis compares visible facial characteristics between individuals to estimate similarity. Facial Similarity Analysis does not extract DNA, does not analyze genetic material, and cannot confirm biological relationships. Only laboratory DNA testing performed on biological samples can provide definitive genetic confirmation. Clients submitting photographs or images represent and warrant that they have the legal authority and appropriate consent from the individuals depicted in those images to submit them for analysis. Choice DNA Laboratory LLC does not sell biometric identifiers or facial data to third parties.
  1. How We Use Information
Information collected may be used to perform DNA testing services, deliver results, provide customer support, communicate order updates, improve services, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
  1. Research, Validation, and Service Improvement
Information or samples submitted to Choice DNA Laboratory LLC may be used internally to improve the accuracy, reliability, and performance of our services. This may include validating testing methods, evaluating facial similarity analysis accuracy, comparing facial similarity results with confirmed DNA testing outcomes, improving software algorithms, and developing service improvements. Where possible, such activities may use aggregated or anonymized data that does not directly identify individuals. Choice DNA Laboratory LLC does not sell genetic data or biometric identifiers to third parties. Choice DNA Laboratory LLC does not use customer data to develop unrelated artificial intelligence systems or products outside of the services requested. Customer data may only be used internally for service delivery, quality assurance, and improvement of the specific services requested.
  1. Communications
Choice DNA Laboratory LLC may communicate with clients through email, phone calls, or text messaging regarding order status, appointment scheduling, or results delivery.
  1. Data Storage and Retention
Customer data may be stored electronically or in physical records. Information is typically retained for up to one year unless longer retention is required by law, laboratory accreditation standards, or regulatory requirements. Clients may request deletion of their personal information by contacting customer support.
  1. Third‑Party Service Providers
Choice DNA Laboratory LLC may use trusted third‑party service providers including accredited DNA laboratories, payment processors, software platforms, and technology providers to assist in delivering services.
  1. Resellers and Affiliate Submissions
Choice DNA Laboratory LLC may allow authorized resellers or affiliates to submit client information or biological samples on behalf of their customers. These resellers are responsible for obtaining proper consent from their customers.
